Winners - Solo Competitions at St Albans 2018

SOLO COMPETITIONS - MARLBOROUGH SCIENCE ACADEMY - 15 APRIL 2018

Well done to Amy, Emily and Hannah - 1st, 2nd and 3rd places (respectively) in the Juvenile Under 14 Years 2/4 March. Also well done to Emily, Hannah and Siv - 1st, 2nd and 3rd places (respectively) in the Juvenile Under 14 Years Slow Air. And Well done again to Amy who took a big step up to the U18 contest and came 3rd in both the MSR and 6/8. Super job guys, we’re all very proud!

Presentation of pipes to Heritage Park Junior School by Scots Guards Brigadier

On Tues. 26th April Brigadier Kim Ross of the Scots Guards presented two sets of engraved presentation pipes to the Piping School at Heritage Park School. The presentation was made to headmistress Mrs Hepworth-Lavery by the Brigadier on behalf of Regimental Headquarters Scots Guards and their Communities Fund.

These new sets of pipes will help assist the schools Piping Instructor Tom Fleming. Tom is a former Regimental Piper from the Scots Guards and a former Pipe Major with the East of England Pipe Band. Tuition is also carried out under the direction of the EOEPB.

Hooray! For our first outing into the competitive world of piping we did ourselves proud. Of the 18 bands that entered the Grade 4 Quartets we managed to secure 4th place. Also a VERY big well done to both Hanna and Amy, our junior pipers, who both secured 2nd and 3rd places respectively, in the U14's Quick and Slow march solo competitions. Upwards and onwards...

The East of England Pipeband loves playing in Peterborough. We always get a superb reception and we're constantly amazed at the number of people who come up to us and say how much they enjoy the sound of the bagpipes in peterborough. So it was with great pleasure we played in the heart of Peterborough City Centre, for the 2015 Armed Forces Day. Another chance to bring the sound of Highland Pipeband music to the lowlands!

Farcet Village in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire is home to the East of England Pipe Band's practice venue. So we are extremely delighted to be leading the Rhubarb Fayre Parade around the village. If you want to come and cheer us on and have a great afternoon out at the Fayre, we’ll be staring at 1.30pm on Saturday 13th June 2015.
